Our Legacy
The story of Dey’s began in 1941, when Mr. B.N. Dey, then Managing Director, driven by a noble urge to serve society, established a modest retail medical store in Calcutta.
During the turmoil of the Second World War, when the flow of essential medicines was gravely disrupted, Dey’s rose to the occasion, ensuring a steady supply of life-saving drugs and medical appliances to doctors, troops, and patients alike.
In 1957, Dey’s took a bold stride by establishing its own manufacturing unit in Calcutta, founded on indigenous expertise. Soon after, an agreement with Sterling/Winthrop Products, U.S.A. elevated operations, enabling the processing, packaging, and distribution of their products in India.
Today, under the vigilant supervision of experts, Dey’s manufactures a wide range of essential medicines—antibiotics, anti-diabetics, anti-dysentery drugs, and more—using advanced machinery in sterile, dehumidified environments that eliminate contamination and human error. With the establishment of a second facility at Naini, Allahabad in 1971, Dey’s has grown into a trusted name, with three factories in Calcutta and one in Allahabad, serving the nation with unwavering commitment.

Since we started our journey, we have always kept consumers at the heart of everything we do in DEY’s. We have been continuously innovative over the years in understanding the needs of the consumers and have tried to offer our new products and to grow in the personal care market. Keeping this in our vision, we have come up with CocoCool as a brand with a new range of personal care products coming up, keeping abreast with the changing demand in the pan India backdrop. We are committed to continue to take the right and confident steps in achieving consumer satisfaction with the support and encouragement of the stakeholders and dedicated contribution of our Team Members.
